Map and Directions to the Grand Basin in Forest Park
Option 1: Enter the Park @ Forsyth & Skinker
- From Clayton & McCausland/Skinker, go north on
Skinker. Forest Park
will be on your right
- RIGHT on Forsyth (near Wash U) to enter
the Park.
- Pass the brand new Golf Clubhouse on your left and a waterfall
on your right.
- LEFT at the "Y" in the road (with a statue
in the middle). Going Right would take you to the top of Art Hill.
- Go about 1/4 mile until you can see the Grand Basin on your right.
You'll also see the Art Museum at the top of the hill in the distance.
- Park here on Lagoon Dr near the base of the Grand Basin.
- Take the walkway on the left side of the Basin and walk
about 100 yards. You'll pass 3 smaller fountains and then see a larger fountain
right before the walkway makes a sharp left turn.
- We'll be in that area,
either on the point itself as it juts into the water, on one of the small
bridges that boats pass under, or on one of the landings that lead you
right down to the water's edge.
Option 2: Enter the Park at the History Museum. (Lindell Blvd)
- Enter the Park at the History Museum Entrance from Lindell
Blvd
- Drive around the back of the History Museum
- Veer RIGHT. (You'll see the tennis courts on your left
and the golf course on your right.)
- Go about 1/4 mile until you can see the Grand Basin on
your left. You'll also see the Art Museum at the top of the hill in the distance.
- Park here on Lagoon Dr near the base of the Grand Basin.
- Take the walkway on the left side of the Basin and walk
about 100 yards. You'll pass 3 smaller fountains and then see a larger fountain
right before the walkway makes a sharp left turn.
- We'll be in that area, either on the point itself as it juts into the water,
on one of the small bridges that boats pass under, or on one of the landings
