Fun Facts:
Kimmswick never was located in Kimmswick, MO. The original site was in Imperial, Missouri, across Interstate 55 from Kimmswick, just off the Imperial / Kimmswick exit. If we had named it "The Imperial Dance Weekend" people around here would have thought it was a swing dance weekend.

Memorial Day Weekend This Year
We have an agreement with the park
to have Memorial Day weekend in even-numbered years and the weekend before Memorial Day on
odd-numbered years. This year we'll have a three-day event featuring the same great, all-night
dancing, hot music, and wonderful people you have enjoyed from Kimmswick since 1980. See the schedule for details as they come in, but here's the general plan:
- Friday night - dance
- Saturday - play, jam, workshops
- Saturday night - dance
- Sunday - play, jam, workshops
- Sunday night - dance
- Monday morning - clean the camp
- Monday after cleanup - dance
Register
This web site is filled with information you need. Here you will be able to register. Registration is very limited - get your form in early to assure a space.

Here you will find lists to help you bring everything you need, plus advice on enjoying this weekend to the fullest. If we haven't answered your question, be sure to ask!
If you prefer to camp
We have group cabins near the dining hall and the dance hall, but if you prefer to camp, you'll need to make reservations at the camping area a mile or two from the group site.
The park takes advanced reservations for camp sites. In the past, the camping area was full before we got there, as Memorial Day weekend is their busiest time. So, if you want to camp, make reservations early through the Missouri State Park Camping Reservation System.
Volunteers make it happen
Be sure to volunteer to help the event run smoothly - we need everyone to pitch in. Your chance to whistle or boogie while making friends as you work is everyone's opportunity to experience the highest and best in vacation value. Did you know that volunteer work makes your blood pressure go down and your attractiveness go up?
One last important tip (take this one seriously):
Don't speed in the park - they issue tickets!
